Do you love all of the sweet tidbits in your sweetcuterie box but want to restrain yourself from finishing it within the first 48 hours of receiving it? How can you make your delicious box last longer? It's easy!
First things first, we recommend removing any fruit from the box within the first 12 hours after receipt, this will ensure the fruit doesn't spoil and that the cookies aren't exposed to any additional moisture.
If your box contained unwrapped candies, then we recommend placing them in a separate air tight bag or container for maximum freshness.
Your sweetcuterie box can be left at room temperature (unless otherwise noted on its packaging) for 48 hours or, for optimum freshness, you might go ahead and choose to refrigerate or freeze some of your sweets for later!
Frozen cookies and chocolates can last up to three months in the freezer. Simply place in an airtight container or bag, in a single layer and place in the freezer! To thaw, remove the confections from the freezer and leave at room temperature for 30 minutes before enjoying!
Cookies and chocolates can be left in the refrigerator for 3-5 days but if you want the perfect cookie bite, we recommend placing our batter based cookies in a 350 degree oven for a few minutes before enjoying- you won't regret it!
Enjoy your sweetcuterie box and remember, as Cookie Monster famously taught us,
"Home is where the heart is, heart is where cookie is, math is clear- home is cookie"
